| I should have my car ready by then. I'm still fabbing my coil mounts for the LS1 coil per cylinder conversion I've been thrashing to get installed this week. My new plug wires arrived today so I now have all the components. And I will be racing ;-) | |

That is a bummer. I hope you get it worked out. I did make a pass in the 68. I lauched easy and at about the 60 foot mark I nailed it. I spun the tires, so I let out of it and then got back in it. I hit the 7000 rpm limiter in first (i was in it for atleast 2 sec) then shifted to second. I shifted from second to third at 6600 rpm and went through the traps at 6500 rpm. The car pulled a 1.91 60 footer being easy on it then layed down a 11.615 @ 124 mph. I was .5 off on my 60 and .8 off my 1/8 mile time and about 6 mph off the trap speed. With the heat and humidity it should have been close to a 10.60 pass with slicks and in good air 10.30-10.40 pass. Not bad for a little street car | |

| I'd be happy with an 11.6 pass. I swung by Dave's Saturday with the Camaro and took him for a test ride with his scan tool hooked up. I am not getting any DTCs and no misfires or knock were recorded. My fuel trims are mismatched between the two banks though by a bunch. I need to make sure I don't have any exhaust leaks and then try swapping O2 sensors side to side and see if the rich/lean condition swaps sides as well. Hopefully it's something as simple and inexpensive as the oxygen sensors. | |

| I figured out what was wrong with my car. One of the LS2 coils I got from eBay was DOA!!! When I pulled the spark plugs, which I just installed with the new ignition, the # 4 plug still looked like brand new. Dave K. had a spare coil and the car is now running great. I went to Muncie Friday for the RPM Transmissions customer appreciation day and made 12 passes. Jeremy Ross and Matt Ehrman were also there. My new 2-step was acting a lot differently than my old MSD one so I ended up racing old school without the 2-step. I ran a best of 12.070 and my last three runs were a 12.092, 12.092, and 12.094. I'd say that's pretty consistent for a 6-speed manual car being hot-lapped. Matt reminded me that when I ran my 11.949 last fall that I had taken all the seats out of the car (except the driver seat of course) trying to beat Dave. I guess that would explain my slower times Friday. There was also a very strong cross-wind that probably didn't help either. I did a mileage run Saturday cruising over close to Illinois on I-74. The car got 21.2 MPG. I used to average that when the car was stock...but I'm making close to 200 extra horsepower now and running 3.91 gears instead of the stock 3.42. I guess I didn't modify the car for improved gas mileage. | |

| Sounds like its running pretty good. Extra Horsepower and gas mileage, what more could you ask for? Sounds like your ready for our Illinois cruise Sept 25. What do you think?
