Cruisin' For A Cure Car Show Hendricks Regional Health Avon - 10/15

CICC has been asked to help out with this show (including judging), as it is their 1st annual show. If anyone is available on 10/15 to come out it would be appreciated!

So who's planning on going to this?

As a club we will not be judging this show. We have determined that participant voting will allow Club members to also be in the show. This will prevent any concerns if Club cars start collecting hardware. I encourage everyone to come out and have a great time at this show. Yes I will be attending this show.

I just found out this past weekend that my family is coming to visit Fri-Sun. So I probably won't be in the show...

Google maps is rather confusing with all the different locations, it appears to be a bit north of US36/Rockville Rd and just east of Dan Jones Rd.

That is correct Mike - it is actually on the far east end of the shopping plaza (on the NE corner of Rockville & Dan Jones/800E). There is a Mexican Restaurant, Taco Bell & Burger King in the front of that plaza. There is an empty outlot in front of Hendricks Regional Health that I believe this is going to be held in. It's pretty easy to find!

Yeah I've been trying to find it on google street view, when it isn't locking up or looking straight into the ground. There is a large medical looking building just west of Nicole BLVD, across from what looks like a Super 8 motel. It is identified on the map as Hendricks Pediatrics but when you click on the pointer is says Avon Opthamology?!?!?!?!? Guess I'll just have to find it when I get there. I am not good when it comes to navigating.

That would be it. The Super 8 is on the south side of Rockville, and Hendricks Regional Health is across the street on the north side.

Late development. With the club being asked to help do this show and me being an officer an all I felt obligated and planned on being there. However Kim was put under for a medical procedure early this afternoon and the Doctor said that someone should be around to keep an eye on her for 24 hours after the procedure/anesthesia. I thought Matthew was going to be home but Kim just told me a little while ago he will be working tomorrow (she's been asleep most to the evening). So best that I should stay home with her tomorrow. I really apologize to the club and all the members. Had the car all packed and ready to go.

Hope Kim is feeling better soon.

Thanks Kerwin, she's doing fine. Did a lot sleeping it off so I was looking in on her a lot. You never know,,,,,

Wondering how the show turned out and once again sorry I didn't make it out.

I believe there were 59 registered cars and the were able to come up with over $1300 from entry, donations and raffle!!!!
2 club members won awards and the rest were mostley street rods that one. We did get the club participation award with 9 members including a new guy with a 73 Z28!!!!!
