Carmel Artomobilia 2011

I have entered us in the Car Club Corral in Carmel's Artomobilia Show. Saturday September 11 at 12pm. I will have more information as I get it. Right now we have 10-20 spots reserved. I need a list of names with info; e mail, year of car. First come first serve.

Weather and prior commitments permitting, we might wanna attend this event. What's the fee to be in the Car Club Corral?...THANKS!

I don't believe there is any fee if we are in the Club Corral - but I don't know that we will be judged either??

No fee for the car club corral and club corral cars won't be judged.

Let's do a tailgating theme: I'll bring the hot dogs if you bring the football game (Penn State vs. Alabama starts at 3:30). You just need to install a TV in front of that subwoofer in your trunk.

For those of us already on Steve's list or still getting onto Steve's list to attend (if possible)...

Do we want to meet somewhere nearby sometime before the show starts? This would be in order to better park together in the Car Club Corral. I see the show hours at 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.

I also see that the show is in the Carmel Arts and Design District. An address of 30 West Main Street is given. The Car Club Corral is noted as being at the "Rangeline Road location".

I beleive September 11th is on a Sunday.
Unless I have the wrong month, which I have done before.

John they will stage everyone in the elementary school parking lot, when ready they will then take groups of people to where they will park. So you guys will be able to group up there before they take you in to park.

Oh yeah, sorry guys, since they sent me a packet I guess I should have shared some of the details. "Marshalling yard" will be at 101 4th Avenue, Carmel IN.

It is a really cool show with everything from 6 (7?) figure exotics to little VW Beetles, British cars, antiques, you name it. And the setting in pretty spectacular too. You won't be sorry for coming out for this show! Lots of places to eat, if you like a good burger be sure to stop in at Bub's. Maybe you can polish off a Big Ugly Burger and get your picture on the wall.

Directions To The “Marshalling Yard” Coming From The South
* From I-465 (on the north side of Indianapolis) take Exit 33 on to Keystone
Avenue/Hwy 431
* Proceed north on Keystone/431 for 3.9 miles
* Please be aware that Keystone intersections are now all round-abouts. The Keystone
round-abouts are wide and capable of accommodating trucks, haulers and trailers.
* Take the Main Street exit ramp off of Keystone and follow the roundabout to
westbound Main Street
* Proceed west on Main for 0.4 miles
* Carmel Elementary School is on the left (South) side of Main Street behind the
Carmel Public Library.

* No "For Sale" signs are allowed to be placed on or near your automobile(s)
* No advertising or promotion of any company, product or service is allowed near your
car(s).
* No additional displays are allowed to accompany your vehicle unless approved by a
member of the Carmel Artomobilia Exhibitor Committee
* No roping off of cars or areas is allowed
* All cars MUST gather at the Carmel Elementary School parking lot for escort to the
show area in the Carmel Arts & Design District
* No cars may be moved once placed in their appropriate spot by the marshalling
official.

I, for one, hate those roundabouts in Carmel.

We'll see if the "Marshalls" let us post our club sign or not.

Yes, I am interested in this show, to see those other makes of cars, even though ours are the most eye-catching works of art.

I just ate a 16-oz. burger and fries and beer sampler for lunch today, so I may be about ready for Bub's 22-oz. burger by Saturday.

Could they have a few more "rules", surprised they don't want proof of insurance and registration!! Oh wait - not surprised - this is Carmel after all :-)

I actually like the roundabouts. Makes for a fun Sunday morning drive tossing the car just a little through them. Besides it is Carmel, we've always observed that apparently those with 29 license plates must be exempt from traffic laws, didn't stop for the stop signs anyway.

For those that want to meetup and drive in together, we will be meeting at the Avon Meijer at 9:15am & leaving by 9:30am SHARP to get to the "Marshalling Yard" by 10:30!!

Jordan has a soccer game at 9:30. I had made arrangements for show being on Sunday. but not Saturday (Thanks Steve!! LOL). Any chance I can register early then come back after the game? Like maybe 11:30 am?

Ordinarily, that type of registration wouldn't be a problem, but with this show doing things a little differently...

We will check into this and someone would call you if that will work.

The actual show doesn't begin until 12:00, but we'll have to see.
