Car Show

Hey All, Just wanted to let you know that a few of us are going to the Sharpsville, IN Car Show.

May 28, 2011 - Summer Place, "A Real 50's Town" is having its annual car show on Saturday, The proceeds benefit "A Home for Every Child Foundation. Trophies will be awarded to the top 15 cars and People's Choice. T-shirts will be given to all pre-registered entries and dash plaques given to all car entries. Spend an enjoyable afternoon while strolling down Memory Lane to a unique, one-of-a-kind place! Listen to "The Nosey Joe Band" playing 50's and 60's rockabilly music. Also, old movies will be playing continuously in the movie theater! Burgers, fries and old-fashioned flavored cokes will be served in our own Angel's Diner all afternoon for $6.00 per person. Hot dog, chips and drink meals for $3.00 Banana splits will also be available for just $3.00. Spectator admission is $5 per person (and tax deductible). Children under 12 are free. Car show pre-registration fee is $20.00 and includes a free t-shirt and admission to Summer Place. Day of show registration fee is $20.00. (does not include t-shirt). Pre-registration entries must be postmarked by May 10, 2011. Entry fees payable to "A Home for Every Child Foundation. All car show entries receive a dash plaque and free admission to Summer Place. Registration is from 9 am - 12 pm. Car awards at 3:00 pm. Summer Place is located at 4190 North State Road 19, Sharpsville, Indiana (5 miles north of Tipton on State Road 19). Fox Sports Channel will be filming all day during our upcoming car show as part of the Mothers Car Show Series. It will air on national tv during the month of June to over 86,000,000 viewers! We've always wanted to go up there and check it out so if the weather holds out, we might drive up in the '73 It's about a 120 mile drive.

Hello, Brian Eslaire and I are going and plan on getting up there around 9a for registration.

Anyone have any idea as to how many cars to expect at Sharpsville? Never been there. Weather permitting, look for us in our blue with white stripes '73 RS Camaro.

That looks like a cool show, wouldve love to have gone. We where in the 500 Parade and the then the night before the 500. Never enough time to do it all. Post pictures if you gottem. Thanks

We had a good time at the 2011 Summer Place car show. There were approximately 240 cars there. Great people,great cars, great food, great live music and a Fantastic place for a car show! It was nice to meet a couple Camaro Club members.....Nice cars Terry & Brian!! Here are a few pics.....
